The point? We all have Parkinson's disease. Alyssa, Wendy, Michael, Soania, Brian, Sharon, Beth, Nancy, Michelle and me. And we all need a cure. But the list doesn't stop there. Over these past few years I have met many new friends, young and old, all looking towards the future...our future....through this unlikely of companionships connected only because of what we happen to have in common. So this ride, known as RAGBRAI, will be dedicated to these friends pictured here along with Glenn, Jane, Kathy, Nan, Arman, Bob, Shirley, Janie, Elizabeth, Hadley, Aaron, Brad, Catherine, Judy, Phylis, Margaret, Lori, Shelly, Ed, Andrew, Jennifer, Roz, Sally, Karen, Sheryl, Bill and the many others I will surely meet along this journey.
The colors of this blog, orange and blue, are those of The Michael J Fox Foundation. Their dedication to funding important Parkinson's research gives me and many others hope for our future and hope for a cure.
Hi Karen. Good luck on this ride! May you have only cool, dry days. I can't imagine doing this. I'm holding out for a marathon shopping event.
